I’m an “over” 50 year old man who decided he wanted to learn to dance.  I was skeptical about what my mature body would allow me to do without looking silly and injuring myself or someone else!  Corinne, now has me social dancing the Foxtrot, Cha Cha,  Waltz, Rumba, Bachata and Bolero as well as the Salsa, Country 2-step, Tango and West Coast Swing.  The Group Dance monthly membership selection allows me to be exposed to all of the dances she offers.  It’s affordable and she teaches you how to practice at home to help maintain the techniques that you learned in class.  If you want to learn a certain dance, private lessons are available to accelerate your skills - she has the talent to lead you down that path in a professional, fun and enthusiastic learning environment. I didn’t have a dance partner but there’s no shortage of women ( all ages!) to dance with at the classes and you can bring an outside  friend for the parties if you want.  The studio is comfortable and classy and I feel as though I’m dancing in my own home.  My confidence in social dance situations has sky-rocketed.  I did have one major flaw in my dance journey – I couldn’t find the beat to the music!

Corinne also offers a course in Musicology to help in determining the dance beat.  I took the course ( and continue to take it as a refresher) and I was hearing and understanding the music to the Oldies (Sinatra and Martin), to Latin music ( a lively hip shaking beat), Motown,  country music and music from countries all around the world.

If you are looking for a professional and enthusiastic dance instructor with over 25 years of experience in ballroom and social dance to propel you into the amazing world of dance – I highly recommend Corinne Rungo!

Corrine, the owner of the studio, is such a sweetheart. My parents and I have learned so much in just a few weeks of being at the studio. They have a fun mix of group classes and private lessons if you want as well. The instructors are very knowledgeable and make the classes so much fun. It’s a great way to work on cardio, posture, flexibility and be social all at the same time and is great for all ages! I’ve enjoyed it in addition to my parents who are 60s-70s
