Absolutely horrible experience with Joshua Stone as the physician assistant onsite. He was completely condescending and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Went in for what I thought was Strep Throat with typical symptoms like sore throat, cough, fatigue, body aches, and white specs on my tonsils. He made me feel as though I was crazy for coming in and told me “welcome to virus season”. He then goes on to belittle me with facts like “strep isn’t common in people over the age of 12” and I let him know that I’ve had strep twice already as an adult to which he INTERRUPTED me to say “WELL… I didn’t say it was impossible”. I cannot believe this man is a patient facing individual, this is not how you speak to people, especially when they are not feeling well. TERRIBLE!!!!

I have called upon the services of Northwell Health Urgent Care in Tarrytown multiple times in the last few years, and each time my problem has been skillfully, effectively and very promptly taken care of.
I have been able to schedule "same day" appointments online 24/7. An Urgent Care staff member always calls to confirm the appointment and the basic health problem to be addressed. I have also called the Urgent Care from my cell phone to schedule appointments. Each time I have been treated at NH Urgent Care the staff are all extremely professional, skilled efficient and caring, and the medical care has been excellent. I have always left with my problem well-taken-care-of. When I have an injury or need a quick assessment and treatment of symptoms (for example before travelling), now I always call Urgent Care first, avoiding the horrible waits at Emergency Rooms or the difficulty in scheduling an appointment with my regular doctor. This past weekend, in fact, I got a very nasty skin abrasion and easily got an appointment right away at NH Urgent Care. I was very grateful for the doctor's skill and careful attention to teaching me how to care for the wound as it healed. Thank you to all at NH Urgent Care-Tarrytown for again taking care of my medical needs so promptly, efficiently and effectively! I recommend NH Urgent Care to all who are tired of long waits, uncommunicative medical administrators, and hurried/harried medical providers. NH Urgent Care is a model of the kind of healthcare I seek!

I went in to have a PCR test 5 days after a known exposure to Covid as per CDC guidelines. Doc said they don’t bother with CDC guidelines because no one wears masks so no one knows when they’ve been exposed. I knew for certain when I was exposed and told him so. He talked over and around me but didn’t listen to me, which was very frustrating as it was impossible to get clear information from him.

Secondly, my blood pressure reading was quite high. According to the American Academy of Physicians it should be no higher than 120/70 or 80. Mine was 135/90. Again, he insisted that it’s not high until it reaches 150. That is simply not true. All in all, a very bad experience with medical care. I got the test I wanted and a lot of poor medical input from the doc. It’s a shame that a non expert patient, like myself, had to find reliable data elsewhere.

my actual visit was fine! however the same physical assistant that also saw my husband, was supposed to call in a Rx for him but never did! Good thing though, because we later found out that the Rx was not supposed to be taken with one of my husband's daily meds. NOT GOOD!

The experience was excellent!! The staff were incredible...they stayed to provide care past closing. One even went to another site to pick up crutches for me....I had a Jones fracture. This site is ALWAYS my go to!! ❤️

Dr. Paramananda was excellent in treating my eye issue. I had a foreign body that could not be removed. He made every effort and prescribed appropriate eye drops. He recommended I go to SightMD as they would be better able to remove the object with different instruments. The referral was spot on and I was treated promptly.
