I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the reservation process I experienced with U-Haul recently. I had reserved a 15 ft truck for my move approximately 10 days in advance, only to be informed the day before my move that there was no 15 ft truck available. Instead, I was offered a 10 ft truck as the only available option.

This sudden change in availability caused significant stress and inconvenience for me as a customer. Moving is already a challenging task, and having a reservation unexpectedly altered at the last minute only added to the difficulties. As someone who relies on making plans in advance, I was counting on U-Haul to fulfill their end of the reservation agreement.

The fact that I received this notification so close to my moving date left me with limited options and forced me to adapt my plans under pressure. This situation reflects poorly on U-Haul's reservation system and their ability to fulfill customer expectations.

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but I believe that U-Haul should have better procedures in place to handle situations like this and ensure that customers are not left in the lurch. It is essential for a company to honor the commitments they make to their customers, especially when those commitments involve important events such as moving.

Overall, my experience with U-Haul has been extremely disappointing, and I would hesitate to recommend your services to others based on this incident. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and work to improve your reservation processes to prevent similar issues from occurring in the future.

Check-in process was efficient and easy and the site is clean. However, on the return, there was confusion on my part about how much fuel was in the truck. Based on the physical fuel gauge in the truck, I returned it fine and I thought that and the paperwork matched. The fuel paperwork gauge wasn't easy to read which cost me an extra $12.50 in fuel. I put in $15.00 of fuel, which should have more than accounted for the 8 miles I put on the truck. Never the less, I was charged an additional $12.50 for fuel, putting my total fuel amount at $27.50 (!!!). I won't make that mistake again and will physically have a U Haul employee look at the gauge and paperwork with me before I leave so I don't pay triple per gallon at U Haul than the pump.

Inventory was fairly organized and well-stocked. Bathroom was clean. Lady at the counter was not nice and she wasn't mean either... she just gave off a odd feeling like she just didn't want to be there. The guy in the back had a real punk attitude. I called several times before I came yet still needed to wait over 10 minutes for a truck to move so they could bring the trailer out.. would have been a much longer of a wait but I took the initiative and walked around the back and politely asked the driver to move for a moment so we would hand cart the trailer out. That's when the punk attitude guy got all upset.

I tried to rent a pickup truck and was told that I had provide another phone number of someone who would answer no matter what. The only one I could think of was my wife but she was at a dr appointment so it went VM. There was no mention of this requirement before hand so I was forced to use a moving van instead. I think it's a cheap ploy to get customers to rent these 10ft moving vans instead of Pickups, becasue there are a lot more vans on the lot than pickups. Big black mark for you guys on this experience alone. Maybe I'll give Ryder a try next time.

Unfortunately, I had my tow hitch installed at this location. Check out the shoddy work on my land rover these guys did in the attached pictures! This is a very expensive vehicle, but even if it wasn't, work (Or should I say damage) like this is substandard. Very unprofessional and uneven cut into the removable silver panel. Scratched the panel during installation as well. You get what you pay for. Land Rover wanted $1800, but I guarantee you it wouldn't look like this. I'll probably have to buy a new panel from Land Rover now and have a "professional" cut it with something other than a jigsaw or grinder like these guys did. Beware folks if you have a specialty situation hitch installation on your vehicle. Once they do it, there is no going back. Also, they put my electrical for a trailer in the rear wheel well inside the car. I've never seen this done before. Normally they put it on a bracket on the outside. I think it just comes down to laziness. I wouldn't go back again because now it will cost me a few hundred for the new panel, then a few hundred to have it done right. It will end up costing the same as Land Rover. Lesson learned.
