This is hands down (or up) the best business at the seaport. It gives it life and character. Whether you are boxing at the gym, walking your dog or having a drink at the outdoor bar next door, you’re bound to be drawn in by the energy.

If you’re a beginner or an expert, young or old, male or female, early riser or late sleeper, starting your fitness journey or very athletic, you’ll find what you want here.

There are early morning classes & early evening classes, male instructors & female instructors, beginner classes & expert classes, downtown location & uptown location. With instructors that have their own style of teaching.

What you want, they got it. So find what excites you, be ready to show up with energy and enthusiasm and leave your ego at home.

I highly recommend!
I have been a loyal customer of Hit the Deck for many years, and it’s truly the best boxing gym out there. The classes are intense and disciplined, with knowledgeable trainers who push you to your limits. Not only have I become physically stronger, but my confidence has grown tremendously as well. Every session is 60 minutes of nonstop effort, and the energy in the room is unbeatable. This gym has changed my life, both mentally and physically!

Lee is a phenomenal trainer. I have been with him for years, and actually followed him from another gym. He consistently pushes me to go so much farther than I ever think possible and my level of conditioning since I started training with him has been next level. He's tough, his class is intense but anyone who sticks with him will be amazed at how much their fitness level will be elevated.

Raheam gives off such great energy as a coach. His encouragement kept me motivated and engaged despite the class being my first time trying boxing and being in my head about it. He pushed us without being imposing, provided positive reinforcement, and always offered a warm smile. By the end of the class, I had a sense of accomplishment from being able to connect many of the basic combinations. Highly recommended!

Raheam has amazing energy. I always get a great workout. I also have a lot of fun in his class because he has great rhythm -- it feels like you are making boxing music when you hit the pads.

Lee is a fantastic instructor. I've not been in a boxing gym in a while (a few years). It's not entirely like getting back on a bicycle and I appreciate Lee pushing me while being patient as I find my zone. Great workout and instructor. I sweated buckets. Definitely earned my dinner.

Every class definitely leaves me feeling it. The trainers are skilled, provide feedback and correct form and keep the energy high. These guys are pros and I highly recommend trying it out!

I will preface this review by saying I LOVE BOXING and today this “man” made me walk out of a class that I would have otherwise looked forward to taking. Ronson Frank is the most unprofessional “coach” I have ever experienced in my entire life. He said that I was a disturbance to his class and his coaching and that the door is right there. WHO SAYS THAT?!? From the moment I walked into “his” studio I felt unwelcome but I let it subside since I genuinely love the sport. I’m very big on energy and ours did not mesh. Granted, as an owner of an establishment, you have free will to turn down customers and I have seen my way out. I’ve never experienced such humiliation. He exudes rudeness and no customer service skills whatsoever. I am baffled! I am a frequent gym go-er, class taker, and my reputation as a student and team player speaks volumes. I am the one with the highest energy in the room and I am known to push the person next to me, to which they thank me for, always! To this man I was a threat and he let it be known that I wasn’t welcome back. I wouldn’t go back not even if they offered me a free membership. So not worth it!
